Join us for Under the Surface: Recognizing and Responding to Stress and Substance Use—for Yourself and Others, a supportive and practical session designed to help you better understand what’s really going on—beneath the surface.
In high-pressure work environments stress and anxiety can build quickly, often without us even noticing. This session will clarify the difference between stress and anxiety, how they show up in daily life—both on and off the job—and how they’re connected to substance use.
You’ll gain insight into how chronic stress can lead to substance use as a coping mechanism, explore the different types of substances people may turn to, and learn what draws them to use. Whether you’re experiencing these challenges yourself or supporting a colleague, this session offers real-world, workplace-friendly strategies for managing stress, practicing self-care, and responding with empathy and confidence.
We’ll also highlight local mental health and substance use resources, helping to reduce stigma and build resilience across your team and community.
