Event Description: The Mental Health Voices Awards Breakfast is an annual event that celebrates recovery, raises awareness, and supports community programming. Join CMHA Kelowna as we shed light on the importance of mental health in the workplace. At the event each year the Mentally Healthy Workplace Awards are presented to two local businesses that are demonstrating leadership in promoting mental health in our community and in their workplaces. One will be awarded to a small business in our community (under 35 employees) and another to a medium/large sized business (more than 35 employees). Tickets to the event are on sale! $60+gst each and corporate tables (10 seatings) can be purchased for $550+ gst. Corporate tables will receive company signage at their table. This year, we are proud to present Frank O’Dea as our keynote speaker. As a young man, Frank O’Dea was a homeless person, living on the streets panhandling for nickels and dimes. Today, he is a celebrated business person and humanitarian having launched and led a number of successful not-for-profits and businesses, including the Second Cup and Street Kids International. He is an inspiring speaker who shares his lessons-learned from his days of living on the streets to his receiving the Order of Canada. City Councillor, Maxine DeHart, will be leading the conversation as MC and EZ Rock’s Andy & TJ in the Morning will be live on site!
